Best for ages 5 to 11, those younger than 5 will still enjoy the books and activities, while students ages 9 to 13 can choose from two booklists of historical fiction chapter books. Learn about the Korean culture during the Joseon Dynasty, how homes were heated, and about the endangered Korean tiger. Week 1 provides a peek into the past, Week 2 focuses on South Korea, and Week 3 on North Korea with optional choices for sensitive children.
Dive further into the topic with your choice of eight recommended chapter books from the 12th century through the Korean War. This 47 page unit provides you with a highly recommended book and video each day, followed by an activity. Subjects covered during the study include geography, language arts, science, art, foreign language, cooking, and art study. Mapwork and Timeline cards are included.

I really like this Korea guide. The books and activities are great and varied – from writing a soji poem, to learning about the science of Korean heated floors to playing a Korean game that appears in one of the books!
