I’ve had people ask me about making a “Christmas Around the World book study,” and that is a combination of my most favorite topics! If you’re anything like me, you’re planning for ALL THE THINGS right now: decorating the house, going to see special Christmas lights, experiencing a live nativity, attending a performance of the Nutcracker, baking for cookie exchanges, making homemade ornaments, visiting relatives, creating gingerbread houses… The last thing I want to do is to add a pile of books to your plate.

I’ve created a short, sweet, meaningful, four lesson Christmas Advent study with six of my favorite books that are centered around Jesus. I chose books that are free to read online at archive.org, so you don’t even need to hunt down physical books. Each lesson can be done in one day (matching the 4 Sundays of Advent) or stretched out across the whole week.

The topics cover: the Origin of Santa from Turkey to America, Christmas in Sweden, Christmas in Ukraine, Christmas in Italy, and the Origin of the Nativity. I’ve recommended a total of six picture books, five recipes, four videos, and one easy Craft.
