I can’t decide if I enjoy researching and learning more about new-to-me countries or those I know a little about already. One thing I know for sure: I’d love to see Cameroon someday! The diversity of this country is simply stunning. Keep reading to find out why its nickname is “Africa in miniature.” The nations of Africa are understudied despite the living books that are available. Did you know that the country of Cameroon are all the climates found in Africa? That’s why it’s nicknamed “Africa in Miniature.” We learned all about the various biomes and the history of Cameroon, including the Atlantic slave trade.

Science connections include a biography about environmentalist Tantoh Nforba, a study about the catenary arch, and a water filtration experiment.
You’ll cook the national dish, NdolĂ© and learn about Cameroon’s history that includes the slave trade, colonization, and independence.
