The Wild Explorers Travel Journal is a compilation of geography unit studies that are sold together in a bundle at a deeply discounted price. New bundles of the Journal are released every 3 months, with creative topics from ten to fifteen small curriculum shops. If you enjoy multi-age, family style learning, you’ll want to keep your eye out for Volume 7 at the end of July!
Here are the books that I recommended last week. They accompany various units that were released with Volume 6 at the end of April.
Australia
Music and Mountains
Hispanic Diaspora
A Lesson on Tea
Shoutouts to @thepinksandme and @sculptingourschoolinthesky for suggesting additional tea books!
Hayao Miyazaki Artist Study
Viking Escape Room
Watercolor Earth Bauble
Dwellings of the World
Animal Migrations
I happened across these two books last week while researching for my upcoming Tanzania unit. They are fantastic for learning about migration!
Yellowstone
North American Nations
I shared an Instagram story about this unit and asked anyone for books they enjoyed about specific indigenous tribes of North America. This list is gratefully compiled with the help of: @sculptingourschoolinthesky @homeschooloutsidethebox @shanteljones and @bibliovortex.
I plan to study the indigenous people groups of North America as we study each region during our study of American history.
